You need to create a free O'Reilly account using your CIA email address to access full-text eBooks from O'Reilly/Safari.
If a link to O'Reilly only gives you the option to start a free trial, DON'T. You don't need to pay for access. Ask the library if the steps below don't work.
To create an account:
- In the catalog record or other link for the eBook you want to view, click the link to connect to resource.
- On a new page, a box will appear saying, "Welcome! Get instant access through your library" and a drop-down menu.
- Click the "Institution not listed?" link under the drop-down menu.
- Enter your CIA email address.
- If creating an account: Click "Let's Go"
- If you already have an account: Click "Already a user?"
- After your account is set up, you can log in and access the book.
You can also download the O'Reilly app to download and read offline.
